Wildfire Updates for Manhattan Beach
The Los Angeles County Department of Public Health is issuing a Windblown Dust and Ash Advisory following strong Santa Ana winds expected to affect the region through Wednesday, January 15, 2025, at 7:00 PM. According to the South Coast Air Quality Management District (South Coast AQMD), gusty winds may disperse ash from recent fire burn scars and generate dust, potentially impacting air quality throughout Los Angeles County.

Free Shuttle Service for Holiday Fireworks
The City of Manhattan Beach is offering a FREE park-and-ride shuttle service to help residents and visitors enjoy the Skechers Manhattan Beach Holiday Fireworks stress-free on Sunday, December 8. The shuttle will operate from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM with eight buses cycling continuously between designated pick-up and drop-off locations.

Join the Great California ShakeOut & Evacuation Drill
Prepare and protect! The City of Manhattan Beach is proud to participate in the annual Great California ShakeOut, a statewide earthquake preparedness drill. Polliwog Park Tree Project
Enhancing our treasured park's biodiversity and tree canopy. 7 trees have been selected for removal throughout Polliwog Park due to the following issues. 7 Eucalyptus trees species are infested with the Eucalyptus Longhorned Beetle, 7 Pine tree species are infected with Pine Pitch Canker, 2 trees for selective thinning, and 1 tree for structural issues.
